CITY TOUR - A NEW EXPERIENCE WITH HANDICRAFT VILLAGES
Morning: Car and tourist guide pick you up at the hotel and then visit Tu Duc tomb which shows architectural features in free and romantic forms just like the character of this Emperor, and talents of artisans under the Nguyen’s dynasty. The car will take you to villages where local people make incense and traditional conical hats as their livelihood, and enjoy the landscape of Huong River from Vong Canh Hill, one of the 18 beauty spots of Hue. After that, you visit An Hien Garden House, one of the typical ones in Hue where you can see a traditional Hue old styled house and an orchard offering fruits all year round. Leaving An Hien, you go and see Thien Mu, an ancient pagoda built under the Nguyen’s Lords (1601), a symbol of Hue Imperial City.
Noon: Leaving Thien Mu, you go down stream on a boat to Sinh junction where you disembark, pay a visit to Sinh Village which is well-known for paintings on rustic paper and have lunch at the house of the artisan Ky Huu Phuoc. Then, have a break and free to visit Lai An Village’s Temple.
Afternoon: tourists engage in all the process of printing and colouring paintings in a traditional way. This is also a souvenir gift from your excursion (tourists can buy paintings of artisans as a gift for your relatives and friends).
