A Luoi district is located in the West of Thua Thien Hue Province, 2 hours drive from Hue city. It is blessed with beautiful landscapes, rich wildlife and nature, and the colourful traditional cultures of several ethnic groups. A Luoi is also the site of many battles during the American/Vietnam war.At the moment A Luoi district is now welcoming tourists. Some of the activities and services that can be enjoyed include:Visiting American/Vietnam war sites, like Hamburger Hill, A Shau airbase and Hong Bac TunnelsTravel along the famous Ho Chi Minh trail Spectacular views from the Ho Chi Minh (HCM) trail overlooking the Green Corridor forests, an area of international conservation importance, home to gibbons and saolaTrekking with local guides to the forests and Hamburger Hill Learn about non-timber forest products and how these are important for local communities See many of the amazing plants and wildlife and with luck see a flying squirrel, or hear endangered gibbons and rare pheasants Relax or have a picnic near one of the cooling waterfalls

Itinerary in Detail
Day 1: Hue - A Hua

In the morning, travel to A Luoi Town, having sightseeing and visit local market, then continue to A Hua village and arrive for lunch. Afterwards walk around the village to learn about Ta Oi way of life – weaving (cloth/bamboo/rattan) demonstration, agricultural activities, cooking, visit local school. In the evening, enjoy dinner and cultural show. Overnight at the communal house

Day 2: Hamburger Hill trek

After breakfast trek to Hamburger Hills, and return to the village for lunch or having lunch at the hill. Afterwards, depart for your next destination. On the way you may stop at Chi Lanh weaving village of A Dot commune and along HCM highway, including A Shau airbase.

What To Bring Items : - Tourists need to be equipped with tools for trekking (sports shoes, hats and sun-glasses, rain-coats, anti-mosquitoes and leeches in case it rains).
